Introduction:

Xiaolei Wang received his Bachelor degree in College of Physics, Nankai University, in 2003. He received his Doctor degree in Optical Engineering from Institute of Modern Optics, Nankai University, in 2008. He was a lecturer in Nankai university during the period from Dec. 2008 to Dec. 2010 and was promoted to be an associate professor in Dec. 2010. From Dec. 2016 to Dec. 2017, he worked on the topic of the optical field manipulation technique in novel two-dimensional materials as a visiting scholar in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He was promoted to be full professor in Dec. 2018. His current research interests are concentrated on the optical field manipulation technique, ultrafast diagnosis technique based on time-resolved shadowgraphy and holography, and Terahertz imaging technique. He has published 77 peer-reviewed journal articles on these topics and contributed to 16 related conferences.

Research Experience:

Research on optical field manipulation

Beam engineering techniques with pupil plane phase or amplitude masks for focal manipulation and focus shaping.

Design and generation of tightly focused field with special distribution based on cylindrical vector beam.

Investigate the imaging and optical tweezer technique by using optical field manipulation.

 Research on ultrafast diagnosis based on pump-probe technique with         femtosecond laser pulses

Record single ultrafast event using angular multiplexing digital holography and wavelength multiplexing digital holography with femtosecond temporal resolution.

Investigate the dynamic process of material ejection during the intense femtosecond laser ablation by employing the pulsed digital holography and time-resolved shadowgraphy.

Research on digital holography

Establish the reconstruction algorithm of recoded digital hologram and investigate phase unwrapping technique.

Study the angular multiplexing and wavelength multiplexing technique applied for digital holography.

Study the super-resolution imaging in digital holography.

Study the optical image encryption technique based on digital holography and computer generated hologram (CGH).
